DC Development
DC Development Group is the real estate development arm of Indianapolis based urban planning consultant Development Concepts. The firm is committed to the redevelopment and revitalization of Indianapolis’ urban neighborhoods. In its short existence, DC Development Group has built nearly 40 new homes and redeveloped a former warehouse into a new charter school in one near downtown neighborhood.
Although DC Development has been investing in Indianapolis for a number of years, the company had no brand identity and no web presence. As the company is planning marketing efforts for a major development project set to begin in late 2010, DC Development needed a logo and website.
DC Development asked for a simple logo reflecting its relationship with Development Concepts while still distinguishing itself. Using a common diamond shaped featured in the Development Concepts’ logo I crafted a design that did just this. The diamond’s trailing elements signify motion and hint at DC Development’s persistence and ability to move difficult projects forward.
Accompanying DC Development’s logo is a simple webpage providing contact information for the company and links to its current projects. A full website is planned for a later date.
